The 2016 Laureate of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award is American author Meg Rosoff.
A graduate of Harvard University Rosoff has previously worked in publishing and advertising. She is now based in London, England. Rosoff is well-known for her book How I Live Now which was adapted into a film in 2013. Rosoff has also written several other books such as What I Was, Just In Case, There Is No Dog and Picture Me Gone.
The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award will be presented in a ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall on May 30, 2016.
